Storm's Speaking Fees, Terms, & Contact Info

New Fee Structure: Since 2002, the demand for Storm's keynotes, conversations, and workshops has steadily increased, with corresponding fee hikes.  To keep his talks accessible to distressed small communities, he has switched to a sliding scale.

Storm's basic rates are $15,000 for a keynote (30 or 60-minute), $17,500 for a 3-hour intensive, and $20,000 for a 6-hour workshop.  But, the fees can be adjusted on a case-by-case basis, according to your ability to pay.  So, don't hesitate to contact Storm if your community, tribe, or organization needs Storm's services, but is strapped for cash.

  • One reason for the change is his broad spectrum of client types. They range from events for large corporations and professional associations that have tens of thousands of employees or members, to tiny rural non-profits.

  • The other reason for the new sliding scale is the nature of the revitalization profession, which often entails working with folks who are in dire straits.  Fees from wealthy cities and large organizations help Storm offer affordable fees (sometimes even pro bono) to struggling tribes, rural towns, and disaster-struck regions that are in desperate need of socioeconomic revitalization and/or environmental restoration.

  • Discounts are also available to companies and organizations willing to provide significant promotion for Storm's latest book, reWealth (McGraw-Hill, 2008).
Terms & Policies:
  • Travel expenses are in addition to the speaking fees.
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date for your event and confirm your booking.  The balance is due upon Storm's arrival at your event.

    • Please note that your engagement date is not confirmed until the deposit is actually received. Dates are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

    • Significantly discounted fees must be paid 100% in advance, along with air tickets and hotel, to minimize travel expense reimbursements.

    • The non-refundable deposit is, of course, refundable in the case that Storm doesn't show up for an event, through no fault of the client. (Note: Storm has never failed to appear on time for a speaking engagement.)

  • For non-English-speaking audiences, simultaneous interpretation is required;  sequential interpretation is not acceptable.
  • Storm's PowerPoint presentation is proprietary, and contains proprietary material licensed from others, so copies are never made available. However, the graphics that are owned by Storm are freely downloadable for your non-commercial use here.
  • Storm uses an integral remote control/pointer that enables him to smoothly blast through his image-intensive presentation, so he always presents from his own laptop computer.
  • Storm does not travel on the day of a presentation, so hotel accommodations the night before--and the night of--a presentation are a necessary minimum.
  • Storm only flies on United or Star Alliance airlines, unless these are unavailable.
It's highly recommended that you allocate at least a full hour for Storm's keynotes, as he covers an astonishing spectrum of trends, concepts, and photos. But, he'll work within whatever time slot is available. He'll do up to 30 minutes of Q&A free of charge.
Helpful suggestion: Storm's presentations are loaded with gorgeous, high-resolution photos of places coming back to life.  Your audience will get more out of his talk/workshop if you provide the brightest projector and largest screen you can obtain.
