Our ReCivilizing Webinars will teach you enough about recivilizing to create a renewal or growth strategy for your business, organization, or community. If you do create such an initiative, Storm might even write about it in ReCivilizing. These need not be success stories by the time of the book's publication; just inspiring current or future initiatives.

The ReCivilizing Webinars is a series of four 90-minute online events. They are personally led by Storm Cunningham, and include a question-and-answer period at the end. Participating in them will provide you with four major benefits:

• You will learn the contents of ReCivilizing before it's published, giving you (or your organization) a strategic advantage over those who don't learn about it until after the book is published. Besides these webinars, you'll also receive final drafts of each chapter of ReCivilizing before they go to the publisher;

• You will automatically by enrolled as a Founding Member of ReCitizen, the global network for recivilizing our world. The ReCitizen website (at ReCitizen.org) will go live on March 1, 2012.

• You'll be able to immediately network with other webinar series participants around the globe, which could lead to valuable alliances and/or friendships; and

• ReCitizen will have a certification program based on this same material. You will automatically receive that certification as soon as the ReCitizen Certification Program is established in 2013. The certification program will be more extensive than this four-webinar series, and will cost more, so you'll save time and money.

Note: ReCitizen is currently being created as an L3C company, which takes longer to form than a regular for-profit corporation (like an LLC). Once it is legally active, our current firm, REVITALIZ, LLC will be retired in favor of this more socially and environmentally responsible corporate form. (Learn more about L3C companies.)

So, please do not make checks or money orders payable to REVITALIZ during this transition period: make them payable to Storm Cunningham.

Are you an entrepreneur or consultant? Many communities will need the help of someone who thoroughly understands the free, online ReCitizen Tools for creating ongoing, citizen-led revitalization programs, so they can get the most from them. 

They might also need someone who can help them create local revitalization workshops and events. That person can be you. The ReCivilizing Webinar Series will provide the knowledge you need to provide such valuable services.

ReCitizen Tools include crowdmapping, crowdfunding, and crowdsourcing technologies: all integrated and focused on regenerating economies, societies, and natural resources.

We will be providing these tools to communities worldwide, free of charge, in order to build a global network of regenerative citizens, businesses, NGOs, schools, resources, and government agencies.

Your opportunity lies in the fact that there aren't any experts in the creation of ongoing, citizen-led revitalization programs: all existing expertise is in redevelopment projects, urban planning, and policymaking.

Given the state of the world economy--and our planetary environment--economic revitalization and natural resource restoration are front-and-center subjects in communities worldwide.  Everyone wants it, but few know how to create rapid, resilient, equitable (democratic) renewal. 

That's an opportunity for you or your organization.  Do you work for a non-profit, NGO, or government agency related to some form of economic, social, or environmental renewal? If so, they probably need a leader to help them make the shift to the leading edge of sustainability.  The future is in redeveloping communities and restoring natural resources in a socially and economically equitable manner.

If you already have some expertise in smart growth, sustainable development, historic preservation, environmental restoration, Main Street/downtown revitalization, etc., that's good, but not essential.  We'll train you in everything you need to know.

We provide not just the training, but the clients as well (although you're free to seek-out additional clients on your own). We need local consultants who know local conditions and languages, and who can operate efficiently on the ground where we can't.
